How to Choose An Adapter?
Unboxing PT-61110 USB-C
Multifunctional Hub
In recent years, devices like the MacBook Pro, Switch, and iPad Pro have switched to USB-C connectors, accelerating the maturation of USB-C development. As someone who works in media, I have used nearly 20 different hubs, and I'm quite strict when it comes to selecting and setting requirements for a hub. In this unboxing and review, apart from introducing the product, I will also share tips on how to choose the right adapter.
How to Choose A Perfect Hub (Adapter )?
MacBook Accessories Unboxing:
PT-51110 5-Port USB-C Adapter
With modern laptops aiming for ultra-thin designs, the number of available ports on the device has decreased. As a result, choosing a hub becomes a crucial decision after purchasing a laptop. Every user must understand their specific needs and select a hub based on those requirements. Taking the PERFEKT PT-61110 adapter that I'm introducing today as an example, my selection criteria included:
Considering the above points, one can reflect on which criteria are essential. For me, the most concerning factor is wireless interference. Fortunately, during my extensive use of the PERFEKT PT-61110, I did not experience any interference issues.
Data Transmission
Demands at least one port with USB3.0 or superior transmission speeds, minimizing data transfer delays.
Network Transmission
Assessment of whether the Hub influences WiFi, Bluetooth, or additional wireless transmissions.
Audio-Visual Transmission
Necessitates the inclusion of either HDMI or VGA for audio-visual transmission, ensuring reliable compatibility.
Power Supply Issue
Maximal watt support from the PD fast-charging protocol and thorough product compatibility evaluation.
Product Quality
Consideration of refined craftsmanship and avoidance of a budget-oriented feel.
Product Quality
Power Supply
Audio-Visual
Transmission
The build should be meticulous without feeling cheap.
Considering the highest wattage the PD fast-charging protocol can support and its compatibility.
Should have either HDMI or VGA for video output, and compatibility shouldn't be compromised.
Data Transmission
Wireless Interference
Must provide at least one USB 3.0 or higher-speed port to minimize data transfer wait times.
Check if the hub affects WiFi, Bluetooth, or other wireless transmissions when connected.
Today, I'm introducing a USB-C hub launched by Cable-Technology Co., Ltd. named PERFEKT PT-61110. From the icons on the packaging, it's evident that this adapter supports a maximum output resolution of 4K UHD and also supports a maximum output of 20V/5A, which is 100 watts. In terms of data transmission, aside from supporting flash drive access, it directly supports SD card slot access as well.

USB-C Connecting to Host
USB-A Ports
HDMI Port
Braided cable design, offering high wear resistance and flexibility, making it more durable for daily use.
Can plug in flash drives, mice, keyboards, portable hard drives, etc. The transmission speed for USB-A is up to 10 Gbps.
Can be connected to an HDMI cable, achieving a 4K@30fps output to HD TVs or computer monitors.
USB-C Port
Can be connected to the MacBook's own transformer, supporting up to 100W PD fast charging.
The hub I purchased is in a dark shade, which is even deeper than the space gray color of the laptop. The side where the RJ45 port is located uses a finish resembling piano lacquer, enhancing the overall product quality. Here are the detailed product specifications:
USB-C Connecting to Host
Braided cable that offers high resistance to wear and good elasticity, making it more durable for everyday use.
USB-C Ports
Can be connected to the MacBook's own transformer, supporting up to 100W PD fast charging.
HDMI Port
This port allows you to connect an HDMI cable, achieving a 4K@30fps output to high-definition TVs or computer monitors.
USB-A Ports
Can plug in flash drives, mice, keyboards, portable hard drives, etc. The transmission speed for USB-A is up to 10 Gbps.
PERFEKT All-in-One HUB Actual Use
The PERFEKT PT-61110 only supports HDMI output for its audio and video output, and does not support the traditionally more commonly used VGA video transmission. Therefore, before purchasing, users should be clear about the connectors supported at their workplace or meeting venue. If only VGA output is supported, you might need to consider buying another model.
When the PERFEKT PT-61110 is connected to a 4K HDR TV that I recently purchased and HDMI video output is initiated, it can support up to 4K@30fps output. From the above image, you can see the top right corner displays a 2160P UHD resolution. From the actual display, even though my TV uses an IPS panel, its color performance is quite close to the OLED panel of the MacBook Pro.
PERFEKT PT-61110 Data Transmission Test
The PERFEKT PT-61110 is equipped with two USB3.1 Gen1 ports, and the data read/write transmission can reach a maximum of 625MB/second. The hard drive tested also supports the USB3.1 Gen1 speed. Through testing with the mobile hard drive I have, it was observed that when using a mobile hard drive that supports USB3.1 Gen1 transfer speeds with the "PERFEKT PT-61110", the read/write speeds can reach up to 306MB/second for reading and 395MB/second for writing.
For graphic creators like me, we often need to transfer photos from cameras or smartphones to computers for editing and retouching. Hence, the data transfer rate is something I particularly care about when purchasing a hub. The "PERFEKT PT-61110" can connect to hard drives or flash drives via its USB-A port for data transfer, and it also allows for direct editing on the computer by reading from an SD card.

PERFEKT PT-61110 Charging Test:
The "PERFEKT PT-61110" charging port can support up to PD 100 watts when charging the computer from the charger (supporting the MacBook Pro 16-inch). In my actual test, when using the charger to charge the MacBook Pro 13-inch, it can charge close to 60 watts. (The MacBook Pro 13-inch supports a maximum of 60 watts for charging).
When not using other data transfers or video outputs, the charging via the Hub is close to 51 watts. When an SD card and a mobile phone are connected for data transfer, additional power is required to ensure normal operation. Thus, from the voltage and current measurement instrument, it can be observed that it charges at a rate close to 60 watts.
Should You Buy PERFEKT PT-61110?
For someone like me who uses the MacBook Pro, the "PERFEKT PT-61110" is a very suitable accessory. Besides the excellent craftsmanship of the product, I found no issues with it during actual testing and usage. If you recently purchased a MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, or Switch, I highly recommend this hub.
Should You Get PERFEKT PT-51110 Hub?
While the PERFEKT PT-51110 is situated within a more mid-tier specification bracket, it exhibits commendable proficiency in network, data, and audio-visual transmissions. Moreover, its pricing doesn’t pose as notably premium. If you find yourself, akin to the author, necessitating substantial data transmission, this adaptor, boasting 3 USB-A ports, assuredly suffices for your utilization.

Some hubs, due to their design, can interfere with WiFi and Bluetooth wireless transmissions. After my tests, the "PERFEKT PT-61110" hub showed no interference issues. [A quick science tidbit: Since Type-C and Wi-Fi both operate at the 2.4GHz frequency, they can interfere with each other. It is recommended to switch to the 5GHz frequency to significantly reduce interference.]
For the network transmission test, I divided it into wired and wireless network tests. For the wired network test, I used an RJ45 ethernet cable connected to the MacBook Pro. The actual test for a 100M/bps connection usually maintained in the 90M range. As for the wireless network compared to the wired, although the Ping value was slightly higher, there was no noticeable difference in usage.
